Frequently Asked Questions

What is LindzCAD?

LindzCAD is browser-based 3D CAD for designing skis, snowboards, and snowskates. Drag sliders or gizmo handles to shape the board, generate AI topsheet graphics, preview molds, and export manufacturing files. Skateboards use a separate app at skateboardmolds.com.

Flat length vs tip-to-tip — which should I use?

Most manufacturers quote flat / developed length — the material length along the bottom curve. Tip-to-tip is a straight tape measure and runs shorter. LindzCAD supports both modes in Board Shape settings.

What export formats are included?

Free: design and preview only. Pro ($34.95): STL/OBJ, tech spec PDF, graphics exports, silkscreen separations, Pro CAD downloads (DXF mold side view, STEP packages, etc.). Pro+CAM ($54.90): adds G-code for core profiling, inserts, and related CNC workflows.

How does LindzCAD compare to snoCAD-X or MonkeyCAM?

snoCAD-X and MonkeyCAM are established open-source desktop tools focused on ski/snowboard geometry and G-code. LindzCAD runs in the browser with real-time 3D, AI graphics, mold visualization, and modern CAD exports — aimed at beginners through small manufacturers who want an integrated design-to-export workflow.

Is there a subscription?

No. Pro and Pro+CAM are one-time purchases. AI credits are included at signup and upgrade; you can buy top-ups when needed.

Does LindzCAD work in Canada?

Yes. LindzCAD is developed in Canada and available worldwide. Prices are listed in USD; your card issuer handles conversion if you pay in CAD.

Is there an Android app?

The web app is mobile-responsive today. A native Android Play Store release is in final preparation with Google Play in-app billing for credits. iOS will follow.

Where do I get skateboard design software?

LindzCAD Skate — including mold ordering — is at skateboardmolds.com.
